Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 67 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Fishing still remains strong, despite bright sunny skies and low water. Today will be sunny again (clouds finally roll in tomorrow!) so approach the stream with some stealth and caution as fish are spooky.Caddis are still hatching area wide usually in the late morning. Around lunch time fishing turns to nymphs and leeches, then fish will begin rising again in the evenings.
In the mid day sun, a heavily weighted nymph or scud rolled right on the bottom will catch fish.
Rocks are loaded with bugs right now, and with the clouds coming in this weekend fishing should get quite a bit easier!
