Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 55 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.
Drizzly and breezy again this morning. There was a total of 1/2of an inch of rain at the most yesterday. Not nearly enough to muddy up streams as the ground soaked up quite a bit. There are no forecasted heavy rains, and much like yesterday rain should subside by the afternoon again today.Pheasant tail nymphs started working incredibly well yesterday afternoon as the olives prepared to hatch. Scuds worked very well in the morning.
Leeches and streamers also caught a bunch of fish.
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF CATCH AND RELEASE SEASON. WISCONSIN TROUT SEASON WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY UNTIL MAY 1ST.
