Driftless Area
Rating: 5, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Fishing remains very strong and there will be a handful of clouds again today which will help keep fishing good.Fish have been feeding in the riffles and directly below them on dry flies that ride low in the surface film, as well as slim bodied nymphs. Fish have been responding well to a slight twitch or light strip of dry flies in the surface film.
Midges in the mornings, craneflies all day, and fish looking up most of the day (excluding the high noon sunny period of the day).
We have also been catching fish in the deepest holes with bottom bouncing scuds and nymphs. Tungsten bead head nymphs are not too heavy!
