Driftless Area
Rating: 2, temperature: 88 ℉, condition: Flurries.
No more rain last night and the streams are dropping and clearing. There will still be a slight stain on some of the smaller water while the larger streams will be cloudy.Hot and humid again today so fish early and late, and find shade to find active fish.
Fishing leeches and San Juan worms in the cloudy water will be quite effective, while the stained water will fish with terrestrials and smaller nymphs and scuds.
All this rain has water temperatures much lower than average on most of our streams which means the next couple of weeks will be great for August fishing.
