Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 73 ℉, condition: Windy.

Streams have done a great job getting rid of murky water and most are running stained to clear, with the exception of the larger bodies of water.
Forecasted rain today, not a lot of accumulation and we do not expect a blow out of our waters.
Scuds have been exceptional lately as they are flushed downstream during high water events.
As the water clears, crickets, ants and beetles will become effective again.
There is cooler weather in the area with highs in the mid 60s Firday and Saturday (and lows dipping down into the mid 40s!).  This should re-energize some hatches, especially blue winged olives and tricos, as well as the trout.
