Great fishing for the last few days of season!(Season closes Thursday September 30th at 11:59 p.m.)
Clouds of midges last night had fish rising steadily and willing to take most anything thrown at them on the surface.
Scuds and small (18-22) bead head nymphs are working sub surface, while midges and blue winged olives can match the hatch in the afternoon and evening.
We have had incredible success on ants lately!
Waters, for the most part, are clear and fishing well. The waters that were hit hardest by the rains (Timber Coulee is clearing quickly, West Fork is starting to drop and clear) are becoming fishable, while the water south of us is crystal clear.
We will be switching over to Iowa starting on Friday and will keep you updated on the conditions across the river for our fall and winter guiding and fishing.
