Driftless Area
Rating: 2, temperature: 37 ℉, condition: Windy.
Warmer today, and the storm that was supposed to dump more snow is now off the radar.Waters are clear and high, with temps hitting 40 in the mid day on sunny days. When the water hits 40 midges start hatching and it gets fish feeding well. Once the snow melt drops the water temperature (around 3) the fishing slows down.
Small dark nymphs, large patterns with a lot of movement, and scuds will work this Saturday. As will midge dry flies.
