Driftless Area
Rating: 2, temperature: 33 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.
Fishing will be tough today with a pretty heavy west wind whipping through the valleys. Dry fly activity will be limited as long as the gusts persist. The mid day is still the prime fishing and we have had luck on scuds, midges, leeches, and small nymphs sub surface.
Fish will still be rising to midges, but with the wind surface flies will probably not be as effective. Instead grease an unweighted nymph, or sink your dry fly just below the surface film.
