UPDATE 2:50 P.M.-- Reports coming in of rapidly clearing water in smaller streams and headwaters. Cold night tonight will lock up any further melting. Expect clear to stained water on small stuff tomorrow, and stain to murky water on larger bodies of water.UPDATE: 11:51 A.M.-- Runoff has caught up with us, most streams are stained to murky. There is still fishable water, but switch tactics to down and dirty bottom rolling nymphs and black leeches.
With only a light drizzle yesterday, and temperatures dipping just below freezing last night, muddy streams are not an issue today. Most streams are clear, some are slightly stained.
Today will be another warm day so expect fishing to be good until the snowmelt starts to drop the stream temperatures.
Fishing midges and small pupae just below the surface will fool selective rising fish.
Thicker bodied nymphs and scudsrolled right along the bottom have been incredibly effective recently.
Water temps have been peaking in the mid 40s to low 50s depending on stream.
