Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 75 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

The cold front is out of the area and we are back to normal late summer temperatures (highs in the mid to high 70s).  This will push the hatches back to the earliest and latest part of the day.  The water temperatures have cooled, however, and fish are feeding aggressively sub surface on scuds and midge larvae.
Look for olives in the evenings, and midges in the mornings.
Terrestrial action is still fantastic mid day with fish cruising across the stream to eat hoppers!
