Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 56 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Little rain fell yesterday giving the streams a chance to drop and clear.  Expect clear to mildly stained waters.  There were a few really muddy streams, but with some windshield time you will find clearer water.
Today will be sunnier and breezy with a west wind.
Tan caddis are hatching and fishing emergers and skittering dries in the riffles have been excellent lately.
Subsurface fishing has been good on scuds, pink squirrels, leeches and San Juan worms in the cloudy water.  In clearer water, caddis pupae and pheasant tail nymphs have been successful.
