Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 77 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Busy opening day of season today!
Please remember to check in with other anglers and give them space!
Waters are low and clear and skies are sunny.  Not the easiest conditions.  You may have to lengthen your leader and drop a size or two of tippet.
Caddis are hatching area wide, and craneflies have also started to show up.
In the evenings we are still seeing olives and midges hatching and egg laying.
Subsurface fishing has been solid on scuds, pheasant tails, and other smaller (sz 16-18) thicker bodied flies such as hare's ears and brush hogs.
