The caddis and cranefly hatch continues!  While not hatching in gigantic clouds, there are still enough caddis (both black and tan) and craneflies to have fish looking up from around lunchtime into the evening.  Splashy rises means fish are eating caddis/cranes.
With the storm front rolling in this weekend, we may some some olives hatching too.
Subsurface fishing has been excellent on scuds, prince nymphs, cranefly larvae, and other thicker bodied nymphs.
It is not too early to throw terrestrials!  Ants and beetles are getting fish to eat already.
Finally, do not overlook streamers, leeches, and mice.
